Our process starts with careful inspection. Each and every skin of wet blue is hand inspected, graded and inventoried in accordance with our product specifications.
This hands-on approach continues through our entire wet blue preparation department from sorting through to splitting, shaving and trimming. Our technical team demands that close tolerances for quality and manufacturing specifications are strictly adhered at each and every stage of production.
Inventory tracking and management are key functions of any tannery. At Carville National Leather, our “lean” approach has yielded greater efficiency in production, which translates into lower costs for our customers. Additionally, manufacturing cycle times have been reduced, offering our customers shorter delivery times through our tannery.
Proper wet blue preparation is the most important factor in achieving world-class quality in crust manufacturing from the wet blue.
